Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Calyrn processes, why it is used, where it is stored, and which service providers may receive it.

Effective October 1, 2026

1. Scope

Calyrn is a personal crypto intelligence product for market research, Watch, read-only wallet exposure, and related signals. This Privacy Policy applies to calyrn.xyz and the Calyrn services that link to this policy.

2. Information Calyrn processes

The information processed depends on whether you browse anonymously, sign in, save research context, or connect a public wallet address.

  • Account information. When you sign in, Calyrn may receive and store your email address, display name when available, and the Auth0 identity subject used to associate your account with authenticated requests. If you use Google sign-in, Google and Auth0 handle the authentication flow and provide the basic profile information needed for sign-in.
  • Watch information. Signed-in users can store asset identifiers and an optional thesis or note associated with a watched asset.
  • Wallet information. If you add a wallet, Calyrn stores the public wallet address, an optional label, synchronization metadata, observed token positions, and derived exposure information needed to provide the feature.
  • Browser-local product state. Anonymous Watch stores asset identifiers and saved timestamps in your browser. Calyrn also stores onboarding state such as first and last visit timestamps, visit count, whether you searched, opened research, used Watch, and dismissed onboarding prompts.
  • Technical and usage information. Hosting, authentication, analytics, and infrastructure providers may process request, device, network, diagnostic, and usage information as part of operating and securing the service. Calyrn currently uses Vercel Analytics on the product homepage for usage measurement.

3. How information is used

Calyrn uses information to:

  • authenticate users and maintain account sessions;
  • save and restore Watch, wallet, and exposure context;
  • produce market, research, portfolio, and personalized signals;
  • operate, debug, secure, and improve the service;
  • understand aggregate product usage and reliability; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Calyrn does not sell personal information and does not use account or wallet information to execute trades on your behalf.

4. Wallet data is read-only

Calyrn works with public blockchain addresses and read-only portfolio data. Wallet addresses are public blockchain identifiers, but they may become personal information when associated with your Calyrn account. Calyrn does not request or store wallet private keys or seed phrases, does not sign transactions, and does not take custody of digital assets.

5. Local storage and authentication

Calyrn uses browser storage for product continuity. Anonymous Watch is stored under a versioned local-storage record containing watched asset identifiers and saved timestamps. Onboarding state is also stored locally so Calyrn can avoid repeatedly showing the same discovery prompts.

Clearing site storage in your browser removes this local state. Signed-in users can choose to move a device Watch into their account; after a successful handoff, Calyrn attempts to clear the local Watch copy. Authentication sessions are managed through Auth0 and use the session mechanisms required by that integration.

6. Service providers and sharing

Calyrn relies on third-party services to operate the product. These providers process information necessary for their role, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

  • Auth0 for identity, authentication, and session management.
  • Google when you choose Google as a social sign-in provider, and for Google News feeds used in research surfaces.
  • Vercel for web hosting, delivery, and product analytics.
  • CoinGecko for market and asset data used by Calyrn research and pricing surfaces.
  • Alchemy for read-only wallet token snapshots. A public wallet address is sent to Alchemy when Calyrn refreshes that wallet.

Calyrn may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a legitimate reorganization or transfer of the product, subject to applicable law.

7. Retention

Calyrn retains account and product data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and integrity, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Watch items and tracked wallets can be removed through product controls. Removing a tracked wallet also removes the wallet positions associated with that tracked wallet from Calyrn's persisted account data.

Browser-local Watch and onboarding state remain on the device until they are cleared by the product, cleared by you or your browser, or replaced by a later version of that local state. Infrastructure and service providers may retain operational records according to their own retention policies.

8. Security

Calyrn uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect account and service data, including authenticated API boundaries and server-side access-token handling. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and you should protect the accounts and devices you use to access Calyrn.

9. Your choices and rights

You can remove Watch items and tracked wallets through Calyrn and can clear anonymous Watch and onboarding state using your browser's site-data controls. Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may also give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information.

Privacy requests can be made through the official Calyrn contact channel associated with the product. Calyrn may need to verify the request before acting on it.

10. Children

Calyrn is not directed to children and is intended for people who can lawfully use the service in their jurisdiction. Calyrn does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children.

11. International processing

Calyrn and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, processing and transfers are subject to applicable legal safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Calyrn adds features, providers, or legal requirements. Material updates will be reflected on this page by changing the effective date and, where appropriate, by providing an additional notice in the product.

13. Contact

For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact the Calyrn operator through the official Calyrn contact channel or official social profile associated with the product.
